Storage Pools

Storage Pools provideare secure,the regionalcentral storagedistribution platform for ServersCTL. Publish backups, deployment packages, configuration files and otherdeployment infrastructurepackages objectsfrom usedbrowsers, throughout ServersCTL.

Unlike a traditional backup repository, a Storage Pool is an active part of the platform. Objects can be published to a Storage Pool, versioned, compared, restored, distributed to compatible servers,agents or deployedexternal intosoftware, productionthen usingcompare, theversion, built-inschedule deploymentand workflows.deploy them safely across your infrastructure.

Every Storage Pool is an account-wide resource and can be used by any compatible Server Pool you own. This allows backups created on one server to be restored or distributed to another server without requiring both servers to belong to the same pool.

What can be stored?

Storage Pools automatically organise supported object types, including:

  • OpenLiteSpeed websites and configuration files
  • cPanel account backups
  • MariaDB database backups
  • SSL certificates
  • HAProxy and server configuration files
  • Deployment packages
  • Manual uploads
  • Agent-generated backups

Objects are grouped intelligently and support versioning where appropriate, helping keep Storage Pools organised as they grow.

Backups, uploads and generated files are published into a Storage Pool. From there, they can be downloaded, compared against previous versions, restored, sent to another server, or deployed directly into production.

Regional storage

Each Storage Pool is created in a specific region and receives its own S3-compatible endpoint. This allows external software, including cPanel's Additional Backup Destinations, to write backups directly into the Storage Pool using standard S3-compatible APIs.

A single account can contain multiple Storage Pools, allowing different workloads to be stored in different regions or separated for organisational purposes.

Storage quotas

Storage Pools use account-based storage quotas.

  • Community – Storage capacity can be added as required.
  • Pro – Includes 5 GB of Storage Pool capacity.
  • Additional capacity – Available in larger tiers as your storage requirements grow.

Storage usage is shared across your account, while each Storage Pool provides its own regional endpoint, object catalogue and deployment workflows.
